I have a wide foot (3E) and the Mt. Vernon gives my toes plenty of room, more than all other Keen boots I've tried, even the Detroit, even with thick socks. These take longer to break in than other Keen boots. During an 8 -10 hour work day I put on 15,000 to 30,000 steps, usually on concrete, as well as climbing a ladder 30 or more times. No sorry feet at the end of the day.
