  • Leaks in No Time

I have had these boots for two weeks and they are definitely leaking. Today I took a chance on the Keen Dry Membrane and stepped in a few inches of water. Within minutes I could feel the water soaking into my socks. BOTH boots let water in the same place - on the top right at the edge of the safety toe. I assume the Keen Dry Membrane has cracked where it meets the steel toe and has to bend. It is absolutely ridiculous that a pair of American made boots that cost $200 should leak in two weeks. They might as well skip the Keen Dry membrane for all the good it is doing. A previous reviewer suggested these boots were good for foremen or managers. I have to agree. If you want a good looking leather work boot to stand in then these are perfect. If you actually work anywhere wet you'll soon be disappointed.

Comfortable boot but not very tough

I am on my third pair of these boots in less that a year and a half. The first pair split on the bottom and began leaking really bad. The second pair the leather came out from under the rubber toe cap in less than a month and Keen honored the warranty and is sending me a new pair. I really like these boots but the may not be tough enough for switching railroad cars walking on rock and walking a lot. Hopefully the new pair coming will last longer than the previous two.

Very comfortable, but not built to last.

Boot was extremely comfortable but after 6 months of use the sole split. I returned them to the Keen garage of purchase and was told they'd cover it as warranty, but it was a wear issue. I've owned Wolverine, Danner, Thorogood and Cat boots over the years and never had a sole tear in half from use. I wouldn't recommend Keen boots to anyone who actually works in the field. This boot is made for general foremen or project managers, not those in the trenches.

I would buy this product again

Very comfortable like all keens. I like the metal shoestring eyelets instead of the old cloth ones. I wish the top two quick lace hooks were smooth instead of the ridge that hold the string tight which makes it harder to unlace the boot. The soles are just right - good traction but don't hold the mud like lug soles. I wish the throat was a little wider and a loop at the back would make it a little easier to pull on.

I would buy again for comfort not durability

    Most comfortable boot ever wore.

Work in a warehouse operating fork lifts and tend to be rough on boots. I've had these over a year and a half and wouldn't even be thinking of getting a new pair if they didnt smell so bad.... Held up great and will be keeping old one's as a backup. Maybe the smell will dissipate once they air out a bit.

    Best boots I've ever owned.

    5

I work in road construction / maintenance and am on my feet up to 12 hours a day. I've owned many different brands of boots. I read the reviews on these about a year and a half ago and decided to give them a try. I'm glad I did. They're durable and definitely the most comfortable boot I've ever owned, right out of the box. This is my second pair and I'm confident that they'll be the only boot I buy from now on.

Best boots I've put in my feet

    5

These boots have the arch support , comfort and quality I needed for my feet . I Have plantar fasciitis issues and these make 12 hr shifts on concrete floors no problem . Great support , plenty of toe room also . I tried 8-10 different brands and types of shoes before finding these keens and my feet killed me . I can wear these for 16-18 hrs on my work schedule and sometimes for over 24hrs straight when I don't sleep . I'll never wear another brand again !

    Great boots

Second pair of Keens, first was the Flint. I bought these for a winter boot and they are now my only boot to wear. I am on concrete and gravel 8-12 hours a day and my feet and knees do not hurt. The only thing I would change is to put a loop on the back to be able to get a finger in, the leather strap is a joke. This is the best pair of boots I have ever owned. I have worn them for 6 months without any issues.

    It's alright

I've only wore these a few times. I've put 6 miles on them walking around the neighborhood to see how they would feel on my feet. The reason being is that the insole that came with it has too much arch support. I purchased new insoles and they feel better on my feet, but they make the boot too tight. I like the boot but not the insoles.
