  • Size Guide
Please choose a size! Please choose an inseam!

Dig into summer with a highly breathable design. We carried over the fit, stability, and grip of our award-winning Targhee hiking boot and retooled the upper with mesh panels. A best-of-all-worlds boot for staying cool while exploring the warmer spots of the world.

  • Mesh panels for breathability
  • Speed hooks, for easy lace adjustment
  • Injected TPU heel-capture system for stability
  • ESS shank offers lightweight support
  • Resilient, internal shank
  • 4mm multi-directional lugs for traction
  • Cleansport NXT™ for natural odor control
  • Environmentally-preferred premium leather from LWG-certified tannery

We've carefully selected leather uppers designed to last. Then again, if you're wearing your KEENs daily, they won't always be scuff and dirt-free. To treat day to day wear and tear, especially on lighter color leathers, we recommend using a leather cleaner and conditioner, found at most footwear dealers and/or shoe repair shops.

I chose to return them based on how they felt on my foot. They felt as if the camber was off slanting my foot inward. This immediately felt uncomfortable and was putting stress on my knees as I stood in place as well as walked around in them. The interesting thing is that I did not have the issue with the Targhee II hiking shoe that I am replacing. This leads me to believe it is related to the high top ankle support some how and the manufacturing process. In any event I do enjoy my Keen hiking shoes and will try another pair that are vented for the summer heat.

    The Jury is still Out

I've had these about a month now and they were very comfortable right out of the box. Your feet stay much cooler than with the Targhee III they replaced. As of now with only 60 miles on them the soles are staying together. These were a warranty replacement for the Targee III I had had for about 5 months and after a couple of rocky hikes the lugged rubber portion of the soles started delaminating from the midsole. So, the reason for the neutral rating is, these appear to have the same type of soles as the Targhee III and unless they used a different glue or process on the soles these could have the same issues. Only time will tell.

most comfortable shoes / /boots I've had in a long time. I work in the film business and mostly wear these for work which is long days. 12 hours min . going to buy another pair just for hiking and fishing Im a big guy at 6'7 and 270 lbs and the boots feel and hold up great. I normally wear a 15 and I'm thinking I might get away with a 14, they do run a bit large and wide

    Outer Sole Broke Apart

    2

Bought 2 pair of these shoes from Rogans shoe store, 1 for good use and 1 for outdoor use. The outdoor one had the problem of the sole braking apart. Took the shoe bake to Rogans and they replaced them . Three months later the outer soles broke apart again so I used Shoe Gu to fix them.

Liking this product right out of the box

    5

Wear for work shoes on the production floor and for everyday use, when not sluffing around in my jogging shoes. Have purchased 3 pairs of Keen Detroit model "the engineered shoe", over the past 7 years, and as always, they last for around 2 years before I begin to notice the insoles becoming "flat". I mean the comfort and support just isn't there anymore, enough to notice it all the way into my back. These old pairs get pitched into the closet for mud or hiking boots that I don't mind getting messed up. I weigh in at an even 275 lbs. Probably the reason for crushing out the soles. I wanted to go with something different, lighter, and cooler this time. Thus I dropped the steel toe, and went with the vented design. As the Detroit model, these are comfortable right out of the box, like a pair of high top sneakers. They provide a little support to my ankle, and have more comfort in the heal and arch areas. As before, no break-in period required. They seam a little cooler, and they fit well around my foot. Wife heard me let out a big "ahhhh" when I first removed my old Detroits to try them on. Hope they last for 2-3 years. Laces could stand to be 6-8" longer so that I can double knot them.
