I've been wearing Keens for the last 10 years because they were well made and the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. The latest purchase is a disappointment. Compared to other Keen shoes I own, it would seem there has been skimping in materials. Padding around the ankles is definitely less than that on older shoes in my closet. In the past, there was no "break-in" needed for my Keen hiking shoes. The new ones were chafing around my ankles. I may need to find a new brand if this trend continues.
