I have had four previous pairs of the Keen Bostons. The first three pair were great! However the last two pairs have not even been close in quality and construction. I think Keen is cutting a lot of corners to make the shoes cost them less to make, but yet charging the customer the same or more. Gone is leather interior (as pictured), the soft but durable shoelaces, soft and flexible leather, and even the toe cap is smaller and differently shaped. I think this will be my last pair of Keen Bostons. I love the older versions and the older version really hold up, however the new versions are nothing like the old ones, except when viewed across a room. It is shame that Keen ruined a great shoe to save a few dollars. I wish i could buy the old Boston IIs, that was the last great version of this shoe!
