    Almost Perfect

These are some of the best boots, let alone work boots, that I've owned. I am required to wear safety tie work boots for work. These were comfortable and felt broken in out of the box. I work in a hot environment and paired with Keen wool socks, the heat is "beat". No issues. The style is like a classic mountain boot, which is great because sometimes work boots can look like something out of Michael Jackson's Thriller video. What's also nice is I ride a motorcycle to work, so the aluminum toe protects without feeling heavy. Only two things keep these from a full 5 stars:1) the pull tab/loop on the back has got to go. It gets hung up on pant cuffs. I just cut them off; easy fix 2) the laces snapped in under a week. They looked cool, but were not up to snuff. Another easy remedy: replaced with 550 cord, which I do on most boots anyway. Would rate them 41/2 stars. Do not hesitate to buy.

    Great boots

I'm a carpenter in rainy Humboldt and we work year round outside. The boots truly are waterproof and comfortable. I put on snow seal before wearing them and the boots broke in really nice. Out of the box the ankle support felt weak but after working in them that hasn't been an issue. The boots look really sharp the toe is little too round for my likening but it's comfortable and sturdy. After 2 months I'm pretty stoked on these boots and plan to buy this model again when mine wear out.

Great comfort and looks, Bad quality

2 months in - torn tongue, and broken lace. I have one foot that's slightly bigger than the other and high arches. Which makes finding work boots difficult. But, I really loved these boots at first. They looked awesome, fit well, were light weight, and relatively comfortable. The arch support was not quite enough for me. So I bought some different insoles. From there it felt like I had assembled the perfect boots. The break in was pretty easy too. After just 2 or 3 weeks I noticed a small tear on one tongue where the material is sewn together. It has gotten much worse over time. And the laces were starting to look worn. Just this morning, after 2 months, one lace snapped. These boots would have been 5 stars if the quality was better. I may have to switch back to timberlands.

    Tongue fabric is tearing

    1

The look and fit of these boots is great. They're comfortable and didn't take long to break in. BUT after barely a month of use, the tongue fabric is tearing. Keen uses a light synthetic fabric probably for cost reduction and comfort but at the seam where the leather meats the synthetic fabric these boots are already tearing. Definitely not what you'd expect for $160 boots and a month of use.

Good leather nice toe box. Good sole. Comfortable

The seam on the tongue rubs the ankle bone. Design uses a horizontal seam but should use a single piece of leather and a second vertical strip sewn over the top to add heft in the same manner as the horizontal seam on the tongue.

So I'm tryin out these boots...

    3

Haven't been able to wear them to work yet just breaking them in walking around town. They are nice looking and fairly comfortable boots. I don't like how the top of the tongue rubs my shin, it is uncomfortable. Hoping that works itself out as I get them more broken in.
